Experience Forged Through Personal Trial
A Firsthand Understanding of Workplace Retaliation and Discrimination
Geoff Gibbs’ commitment to protecting employees from retaliation is not purely academic or professional—it is personal.
Earlier in his career, while serving as in-house counsel at a major aerospace corporation, Mr. Gibbs raised concerns about workplace discrimination and unequal treatment after being demoted despite a strong performance record. Shortly thereafter, he was terminated. A California jury later found that his termination was retaliatory, awarding damages for lost wages, emotional distress, and punitive damages.
That experience gave Mr. Gibbs firsthand insight into how retaliation unfolds behind closed doors: how internal complaints are handled, how narratives are shaped, and how employees can suddenly find their careers at risk for speaking up.
Having been on the receiving end of retaliation himself, Mr. Gibbs brings uncommon empathy, credibility, and strategic clarity to every case. He understands not only the legal standards—but the personal, professional, and emotional consequences his clients face when they challenge unfair treatment.
This experience allows Mr. Gibbs to represent clients not only as an advocate, but as someone who understands how race, age, gender, and power dynamics can shape workplace outcomes and how retaliation is often used to silence those who speak up.
